WL13 doesn´t open my .mon files. WL12 does. what am I doing wrong?

I’ve just installed the upgrade to WaveLab 13 and can’t open my montage files.

It seems I can only open the “Audio Editor”.

I must be missing something…

When I right-click on the .mon-file, I can open it perfectly in WL12, but in WL13 the workspace is empty.

(I’m good at Cubase, but I’ve been ‘struggling’ with WaveLab 12 for a few months now, learning and learning… but this is really getting me down again)

Any ideas?

It looks like you are trying to open a WL 12 montage in WL 13 … WL13 will want to ‘update/convert’ your WL12 montages to the new WL13 standard.

Try either dragging in the WL12 montage to a WL13 workspace or use the File Open command.

You have to update the file extension associations.

If you mean: rightclick on the .mon-file and “open with” WL13 (always)…that’s what I did!

Or do you have another way ?

And if I open WL13 by default, I just can not find any .mon-file to open…

This should just ‘work’ if you drag a WL12 .mon file into a WL13 workspace or use the WL file open dialogue?

I REALLY have to apologize!!!

I just didn’t activate WL13 in the Activation Manager (did it on 2 other Laptops but not on the main desktop)…HOW STUPID !!! SORRY SORRY SORRY !:face_with_peeking_eye: :distorted_face: :saluting_face:
