I’m wondering if there might be a solution or work-around for this problem. I’d like to replicate the following, which is shown in attached jpeg of Brahm’s In stiller Nacht…the right hand, down stem voice has note values that carry into the next measure for grouping sake, and keeps the cleanliness of a dotted quarter notation in the current measure without tying into the next bar. Thanks.
I’m away from my desk but I suspect it should be easy enough to achieve with a hidden tuplet on the final quaver - you’d need a 3:1 tuplet.
