Workaround for horizontal arrows

Perhaps this is an awkward place to ask this question but, on that note, is the general consensus that upgrading to version 2 is worth the investment? I’ve been disappointed and frustrated at times with the difficulty/bugginess in performing many seemingly simple tasks in Dorico after a couple years of bug fixes and improvements, and have considered whether going back to one of the other more established programs would be wise. Thanks.

Version 2 was an exponential leap, both in terms of features and performance. Yes, you absolutely should upgrade.

I, along with many others, jumped on the Dorico ship when V2 arrived.

Version 3 is coming, but it’s not imminent. Perhaps the end of this year, though no one knows. Just to say that I wouldn’t hold out for it.

This solution may work, but has the problem that the size of hairpins may change with note spacing, so you have to create the arrows once you know that nothing is going to move…
