I have a recurring problem where write to start doesn’t work. This happens quite often.
In this video I’m in write the end and start. I play, tweak a setting then stop returning to the initial start point. You can then see that the automaton setting I changed did not appear to get written. This has been happening to me for a while.
It gets even stranger. In this video I am showing the filter automation lanes. You can see the frequencies being adjusted.
The LF writes to its atm track and the change is now represented on the plugin and it is affecting the sound.
However, the HF atm track changes but the new written setting is not displayed in the plugin and it is NOT affecting the sound.
When i look at my undo history I there are no rogue plugins constantly writing to screw with automation writes. The only events I see are the ones I have done myself.
i have also noticed Create Initial Parameter Events does not always write points for all automatable items. I often create new tracks with lots of sends and immediately select Create Initial Parameter Events. often i see some of the parameter go grey to show that automation ahs been written, but not all parameters. Sometimes just one fx send will take the initial points, but the other 3 or 4 sends won’t, or the panning won’t.
