I apologize in advance if this is a topic already answered previously. I tried to search for similar information but I could not find anything.
I would like to know how I can write a chord with the last note having a different note value, which in this case would be an eighth note. The reason for this is because another eighth note is played right after this one while the other notes of the chord remain sounding.
I attached the picture showing exactly what I would like to do. I tried to add a new voice in my second attempt, but even though it works in terms of sound, visually speaking it is not what I wanted.
