Hi,
I am trying to input czech lyrics into dorico for an art song. But when i try to put in certain letters (ex: Ň ň, Ř ř) the software doesn’t register those characters.
How do i fix this? is there a specific font style i should be using?

Are you on Windows or Mac?
What font are you using? It will certainly depend upon whether the font has those characters, which not all fonts do.
Nepomuk does!
I’ve entered those characters recently in a hymn using the default lyrics font. (I probably don’t have to say this, but I assume you know, if using Windows, you have to enter them using unicode characters. U+0147, U+0148, U+0158 and U+0159, respectively).
Not on a mac! Just n (brief hold) and then 4. There’s even a handy popup guide so you don’t have to remember the numbers. This is basic OS functionality, not application specific.
I updated my comment. I wish Windows supported diacritics like the mac does.
Thank you for the help. I am new to mac so I’m not familiar with all of the shortcuts yet.
Hi! When I need to write lyrics in another language than mine, I add that keyboard in the System preferences>Keyboards and make sure I have the keyboard menu activated (so that I can make the keyboard appear on screen to find the keys, and swap language layouts easily).
A similar function is available in Windows with Microsoft PowerToys installed (Quick Accent).
