The attached Dorico file is of a little piece for solo violin I wrote in manuscript in 1992, and then in c.2001 I typeset it (rather badly) in Finale. After that I lost interest in the piece as too slight or naive (or something). However, in May this year I listened to a recording, thought it maybe worth preserving, and in June I imported it via XML into Dorico.
As it is, the stave size is a little smaller than ideal when printed to A4, although it can be printed to B4. More on that later.
If I preserve the current layout and stave size, what should be the least troublesome way to write out the DS al Coda in the second movement so it goes to the bottom of page 5 (the fourth page of the piece: the first page of music is left hand and numbered 2)?
What might be the safest way to increase the stave size to Rastral 4, then have movement 1 as a 3 page spread, while (probably) keeping the DS al Coda in movement 2?
How does one create a 3 page spread in Dorico?
FWIW my 85 year old eyes find it easily legible at the current size printed to A4, but I must accept that it may not be so for others.
I removed all explicit system and frame breaks from the second system to the end of movement 2, inserted a note spacing change to 5 at bar one and inserted a frame break at bar 48.
And you have a lot of page overrides which I didn’t touch at all (yet).

And this is a version without page overrides (except the last one). It’s pretty easy to show the roman movement titles as flow headings. For the title I modified the title paragraph style and removed the {@flowTitle@} token in the Default Page template.
The information above from Vadian is extremely useful, I’ve learnt from it, and it may be the best solution.
However, in my original question I’d meant to ask about how to replace the DS etc with a fully written out repetition of the DS material continuing directly into the coda. In other words, inserting about 15 bars immediately before the existing coda, and then deleting the segno and coda signs &c.
Does anyone have advice on how I might best do this without creating unintended havoc?
That asked, perhaps the solution from Vadian is really all I need and nothing useful would be achieved by my replacing the DS.
Just insert 13 empty bars at bar 68 and copy the music. As there is no time and key signature change it’s straightforward, then recreate the first and second ending and delete the repeat jump items including the coda.
While I was at it I discovered some articulations* which had never imported to Dorico from my Finale file. Some of the bar numbering was odd, possibly going back to my 1992 manuscript (I’m not sure who has that).

*Finale combination articulations don’t seem to import into Dorico eg the combination of accent and tenuto as a single articulation. If this was entered in Finale as two separate articulations, they import correctly.
I can’t reproduce this issue. I just created a new Finale file with a note with that combined articulation and exported it as MusicXML. The XML actually lists both component articulations:
Interesting: I wonder why mine didn’t import. The file was created in 2000 using Finale 2001, but subsequently successfully resaved in Finale 27 with all articulations still present.
