Hi there gang,
I could use some guidance with figuring out how to achieve this pattern shown below. The time signature is 3/4 and these are shorthand indications for trem. I would like to present this in my chart the same way. I have tried forcing to dotted 8ths, but not sure that’s how it’s done to get the non enclosed notehead? ALso, I would like for it to play back correctly.
Thoughts?

First enter this (with Force Duration for the second bar):
Then apply tremolos (Shift+R, “12”) to each pair of notes.
This option must be chosen in Engraving options:
Ah, That’s it! I was getting the broken beam on the bottom. The special multi-note trem setting was what did the trick. Beautiful! Thanks!

One more unusual one… How bout this fella? I tried clicking in second option-Outermost line joins, but it only gives me option 1 as a result?
It works here, with option 2
Just type “22” in the popover.
“12” = 1 stroke, 2 notes
“22” = 2 strokes, 2 notes
Ok, got it!!! I should have realized that. I have notation express which helps from time to time. I’m use to doing these with mallet rolls but never join beams. Thanks again!
