Cubase does not have a Real Lower Zone

Nope midi editing and mixer are not why lower zone exists in the modern daws

Nope. Not at all. Cubase’s MIDI editing features are absolutely, positively not a reason why people use it over ProTools for MIDI related work.

They are secondary features of interest

Real Lower Zone has easy access to routings and your mix > midi modulations within a track > sidehain settings > paraller mixing configurations > layered vst instruments

You know, the kind of stuff people use in 2018

This depends on your workflow, genre, and technique.

I asked for “more lower zone love” – meaning the LZ would include a few more racks – routing, pre-rack and EQ would be my first choices. That said, I like the LZ in Cubase. If Cubase isn’t working for you, use something else.
