I have bought new Behringer X-TOUCH mini control device to control my VST3 FX plugins inside the Cubase 14.
I set it up in the VST Quick Controls under the Setup menu - I see it detects it right, cos when I set MIDI in/out for the X-TOUCH MINI + tick “Learn” option and adjusting the encoders it sets it parameters correctly.
But once I open my VST3 FX (Sugar Bytes Turnado), open its QC and adjusting my encoders on X-TOUCH MINI, it does nothing and I do not know why.
Even if I set it to LEARN mode it does not detect anything at all!!!
Yet if I test this device in FL Studio everything works perfectly, easily and fluently right form the very start.
You have connected a MIDI controller to your computer, and its controller surface is shown on the MIDI Remote tab in the lower zone of the Project window.
The MIDI Remote tab IS EMPTY although my device is connected.
I have searched internet and found only one such script, so I downloaded it, imported it and…still does nothing.
I mean in the MIDI editor I can see it does something to the visuals in the editor but it does nothing to the QC of the actual FX.
WHY IT IS SO F*CKNGLY COMPLICATE TO JUST ADD EXTERNAL CONTROL TO A PARAMETER??? Why can’t it be so childlishly easy as in the FL Studio, where you just click lean and it grabs the adjusted hw encoder.
EDIT:
It looks like for some reason the QC controls WERE SET ONLY FOR THE BANK B, now it works if I switch to the bank B on the device, yet it still is extremely complicated from the simple QUICK CONTROLS to this…bah, Cubase, bad bad, bad: so if the device doe snot have the script anywher eon the internet and one is not programmer WE ARE BASICALLY LOST, yet with that QUICK CONTROLS you did not need to know any of these things. Why you never ever learn a lesson, Steinberg, and constantly making thigs overly complicated where they can be childlislly easy? .
