Xml-export in concert or transposed pitch?

I made a score for three clarinets in Bes.
When exporting a xml-file it is written in transposed pitch. But my director needs a xml-file in concert pitch. When in Write mode I choose concert pitch still the transposed xml-file is exported.
Is there a way to export xml-files in concert pitch?

I mean: without having to transpose the score ‘back’ tot concert pitch?
I suppose the same question also goes for Print mode.
I am always surprised about the speed of Dorico when changing the concert and transposed mode. Might it be possible to use the same routines to make a button called ‘All instruments in Concert pitch’?

I suspect (but do not know for certain) that MusicXML describes all notes in concert pitch, whatever the instrument, and it’s up to the Application to display them in Transposed pitch, or not.

What application is your director using?

Finale and MuseScore both have switches to show Concert or Transposed pitches.

Dear Ben, thank you for thinking with me!
My director is using Finale. But fellow musicians use other programs.
I understand the solution within some programs to show concert pitch as well.
Well, this is indeed exactly the same that I get. But I am afraid that was not my question.
In these cases the score is exported in transposed pitch.
But what I hope to find is an easy way to export the same score in concert pitch. So: when opening the xml-file in Finale, Musescore or other programs it is in concert pitch.

In Finale, you just click this menu item to show the score in Concert Pitch.

In MuseScore, it’s on the bottom status bar.

Thank you!
I tell my colleagues to look for this solution, it will give them more possibilities.
But then still is my question is: how to achieve this in Dorico itself, both for exporting xml-files and printing.

You can switch between Concert and Transposing pitch in the Edit menu:

Or in the status bar at the bottom of the window.

As I’ve already said, you can’t make the XML to be concert or transposed. It is the application’s job.

OK, I then now understand that, thank you :slightly_smiling_face: !!

Maybe give @benwiggy the solution @Walter-R

Yes, all is clear now:

The xml-file itself is in concert pitch, and the programs where the file is imported shows it by default in transposed pitch.

Printing is in Dorico no problem: while in concert pitch in Write Mode it prints in concert pitch; while in transposed pitch it prints in transposed pitch.

Thank you both!!!
