XML import from Finale - bar/system formatting messed up

I have a problem that I haven’t seen addressed here. When I import a Finale score from an XML file, the first two pages are okay, but everything after that is jammed into one system. I don’t even know how many measures it is, but it’s totally illegible and impossible to edit. I’m attaching a screen shot. I tried setting the casting off options and it did nothing.

in Engrave Mode, select the Frame Break signpost at the top of page 3, and have a look at the properties panel.

You should see something like this:

Switch off “Wait for next system break”. This should restore a normal spacing.
