XML import problem with too many bars in lower staves

I opened an XML file that was generated from PhotoScore Pro in Dorico. The top staff has 1 bar to every 12 bars in the lower two staves. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try deleting the open time signature signpost (the “X” above “Atonal”).

This will happen if your top staff does not show at the start in the original pdf (PhotoScore is unable to work out that they should simply be empty bars).

Also it is likely you have independent time signatures, so having deleted those on the the top staff, you should recreate the initial one to make sure it is global.

You then might also have to manually position the notes in the top staff to the correct start point (cut/paste usually works for this)
