Yamaha Midi controller Keyboard

What’s preventing Steinberg/Yamaha to launch the ultimate midi controller Keyboard?

A premium 76-88 keybed, lots of knobs and pads, a motorized Fader and buttons like the CC1, a Big color screen to display all editing and performance controls of Absolute, Halion, Cubase…

Just daydreaming here.

Money (no profit in hardware) and obtaining the necessary parts.

I’ve been asking myself this question for ages. Not anymore. I finally bought an Arturia Keylab 88 MK3. Ever since Yamaha acquired Steinberg, I’d been waiting for this logical decision, but in vain. Would it really not have been worthwhile considering the Cubase user base over the years? It’s a valid question. I don’t regret my Arturia purchase (with Cubase Pro software integration), but I would have much preferred a Yamaha keyboard. We can take some comfort in the fact that from now on, Yamaha seems to be handling the hardware (new audio interfaces coming soon) and Steinberg, the software.
