Yamaha Mx49 as audion interface

I installed the Yamaha/steinberg USB ASIO audio driver.

But when I try to use the MX49 as purely an audio interface and play the keyboard, I see that it’s sending midi data to Cubase, but I can’t hear anything.

Anyone know how to fix this?

First try to make it working with an Audio files (for example imported from MediaBay). When you add an Audio track with an Audio loop, can you hear it over your MX49?

If yes, your MX49 is working as an Audio Device. Now read MX49 manual, how to connect MX49 and get a sound of it to Cubase, if you are using MX49 as an Audio Device. I’m quite sure it will be part of the Quick Start documentation.
