Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver 192 kHz Fail

I’m using version 1.9.6 of the Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver that came with my Yamaha MG12XU mixer, but it becomes disabled frequently when using the 192 kHz sample rate. I suspect Windows 10 is somehow overriding this setting, perhaps when booting up.

I can correct the issue by resetting the USB driver to 44.1 or 44.8 kHz, then resetting it again to 192. Windows sound settings have no problem recognizing the 192 sample rate, everything works flawlessly. But I discover, when opening streaming videos in a browser, launching Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro CC or other audio-involved apps, that the 192 kHz setting is no longer functional.

Have you had this problem? Discovered a way to keep this setting in Windows 10?

Thanks!

I have exactly the same setup; can’t get any USB monitoring happening at all from the mixer, all I get is the clean guitar etc direct out (as though I hadn’t enabled the USB switch). In Cubase the track meters show plenty of level from the input but pressing record results in silence on the track. This is for any sample rate - driving me crazy.
