I have installed Cubase Elements 14 on my Macbook Pro 2016 and it is activated.

However, when I start Cubase, it immediately quits with the following error message.
I wrote to Steinberg support 2 weeks ago, but there is still no answer!
What is the problem?

If using the web-portal, you can just click the “New Topic” button. I don’t use the Discord client, but I can’t imagine it’s much different.

Hey Developers!.

I don’t know and honestly not read every single post here, but Cubase 14 Pro is in a good shape with a few exceptions that making my life hard which have to be resolved.

First of all the interface has become really good, i also like the modulators. A good documentation and way more examples for the scripting modulators would be nice.

besides that. I really really Love Dorico because its easy to write a track with corresponding Expression maps and have a track in Minutes. The Output Quality is really great. ::

1. Why Do you we not have all these functions inside of Cubase?

I would like to see the same type of Automatic Automations for dynamics like in Dorico inside of Cubase. Its great that Dorico is writing a human touch type of randomness inside the CC lanes to get a better sound:

2. I would love that the written Dynamics and Articulations in the score editor in Cubase will be synchronized with the Midi Piano Roll. Why is this not already implemented like in Dorico.?

For me right now Dorico Pro 6 is my writing tool where i write all Tracks like 200% faster than all this hassle and manual labor work i need to do in Cubase. I usually stream Midi or Sound from Dorico to Cubase or Reaper to get a nice preview of my written score.

I would love to see Cubase having the same automatic dynamics and easy to use score writing process like Dorico soon. Because at the moment Cubase is almost useless for me. Reaper is 2 times more performant, faster, and all the benefits of Cubase becoming a waste of money at the moment.

Can you tell us the Community when we could see further improved performance in Cubase 14 as well as better score writing tools, and more automatic solutions such as in Dorico?

J’utilise Cubase depuis des années et j’en étais parfaitement satisfait.
La version 14 est, pour moi, inutilisable.
L’éditeur de partition est mon outil de prédilection pour parfaire mes compositions.
Hors, dans la barre d’outils de l’éditeur de partition, toutes les fonctions qui existaient aussi bien dans l’éditeur clavier que dans l’éditeur de partition ont disparu, comme monter ou descendre la note d’un demi-ton ou octave, avancer ou reculer la note en fonction de la résolution et bien d’autres.
Mais qui prend, au sein de votre équipe, ces décisions désastreuses?
Ce serait peut-être utile de demander aux compositeurs quelles sont les fonctions utilisées par iceux.
Ce n’est pas une mise à jour, c’est une régression catastrophique.
Je pense qu’il serait souhaitable de réinstaller ces fonctions ou les rendre accessibles à ceux qui en ont besoin.

My biggest problem is the feedback bug in the MIDI remote is still not resolved, as mentioned in this thread:

It’s my first time using the new MIDI remote after getting a Stream Deck Plus yesterday. Among many other things, I want to use the Stream Deck as a controller for Volume, Pregain and Sends for the selected track, but I’m running into an issue where small movements will immediately jump back to the previous value. We REALLY need the feedback fixed. I’m trying to make a product that uses it, but until this is fixed, I can’t do it! The old value cannot jump and change the new value to the old one. Can’t do that!

How Is my voice heard ???
Countless times I have said give us older generation Cubase 12 Fader caps as the new Cubase 14 ones trick the aging eyes Into a sense of blurred fader caps by the horrible shading each end.

Too a lot of us It Is like looking at 3D without the glasses on.. Blurry type double vision. It makes you look away and look back when in console mode and you think what Is wrong with my eyes.
It would make a lot happy to give us options as you can change all colours to no avail, but still that horrid giddy sensation looking at the faders. Everthing else graphic wise In Cubse is 100%

The fader caps in Cubase 12 are perfect like other Daws. Get those graphic designers to stick to the basics as the 12 caps are pristine. New Is not always better.
All Steinberg have to do Is stick access to Cubase 12 fader caps In preferences.
In a whole year now nobody has listened to people that have specsaver problems.

Thank you, I have left feedback in the survey, but to summarise I have absolutely LOVED using Cubase (on the PC) for the last 20 years - HOWEVER having just switched to Mac I am now fearful that I need to migrate off, as I am struggling to see the GUI!

I’d love to see Cubase urgently provide proper UI scaling and font size options on macOS.

The interface is too small on Retina displays, making it hard to use.

Please implement adjustable font sizes, zoom levels, and full Retina support — like Logic, Studio One, and Ableton already have.

Be keen to understand if this is finally being addressed for the Mac community.

Don’t forget, on OSX you can go to System Settings-> Accessibility->Display and change some options there. That might help. I’ve selected “Reduce transparancy”. There are options for Text size and other things.

I find the reduce transparency option really clears things up and I increase the pointer size.

Give it a shot.

This has been noticed since version 9. If necessary, I have tests on different devices and I found the cause!
I just want to ask you this question. Do your testers not notice this?

2 - why does the track with automation written in it play the same way when soloing a track?

3 - Why did the SEND values stop responding to the mouse wheel?

4 - Some other tabs also stopped responding to the mouse wheel

5 - Why did they make the EQ mark blue? It was always green, why is that?

I don’t experience these issues on my mixdowns. Please create a separate topic for this where you describe the issue and the cause, that you mentioned to have found.
