I love the new Group Folders, which automatically add a Group fader for the included tracks. I ususally group a lot of my tracks (Like orchestral sections, or elements in a post production mix like VO, Ambiences, SFX, etc) so being able to do this foldered is a big advancement for me.
The only thing I’m missing: I like having my bus faders on the right of my mixer, grouped together to be able to quickly ride/edit a bus, so being able to move the folder faders to the left or right (with the Zones tab, in the Visibility tab in the mixer) would be a great option to have.
TL;DR: Is it possible to add ‘Zones’ to Folder Group faders, so you can move them to the left or right in the mixer?
Oh, and there is actually one more thing I’m missing, related to the folders:
Folder tracks without a fader show a sort of truncated clip of the contents on the timeline with the folder closed, but the new folders with a fader on them don’t. When you close them, the folder track shows empty. This has already caused me to copy a section over, only to afterwards realize I’m missing a section because it was in a group folder, and didn’t get copied over.
I imagine there is a GUI issue here, with the volume automation, but I still think this is a big enough issue to try and solve.
Love this. I also like my busses to right, but to the right of the tracks that are bussed to it. That way I can easily solo the group I’m working on if needed.
I’d love to see a Global option to have Group Channels be created to the left or right, in addition to being able to dock them with Zones if desired.
