Zoom R16 Slaved?

I purchase a Zoom R16 a few months ago and I am very happy with how it’s working through the bundled Cubase LE 4.

I heard that you can connect two R16’s via the usb ports so that one R16 acts a slave to the other allowing you to record 16 channels simultaneously.

If I was to do this, would I be able to record 16 channels simultaneously straight into Cubase LE 4?

I got a reply off zoom and they say it’s not possible :frowning:
