Finished studying music in Oldenburg in 1984 I started as a keyboarder in an international showband (4 guys).
Parallel I started in 1984 as a Betatester for CUBIT - CUBASE on a C64 and it’s MIDI-cancer-back…
1989 after finish the band I owned 17 cool instruments (Oberheim Matrix12, Yamaha CP70 …)
For 1 year I was playing with Duncan Grant at Starlight Express
in 1989 with Protools, the Mac and still CUBASE-betatesting I started cutting audio and producing CDs,
made filmmusic,
worked many times for KORG and STEINBERG at the Frankfurt-fairs, and
beside I was hired for for a small but 30years long job, teaching studio-work at the University Of Oldenburg
Scoring I tarted in 1990 with CUBASE and the new scorefeature, for Bigbands and small orchestras.
Later I tried Finale, awful at that time, and tried to understand Sibelius. It needed half a year … and now I have the problem, that I’m so fast in Sibelius that for me it’s hard to change.
My mostly work is writing arrangements for a 15-instruments-Ensemble (wood-and brass, guit, p, b, drums)
I often start with MIDI-files out of Sibelius or CUBASE or from the internet.
