Career 1: Concert violinist, and music arranger. My first music notation software was on an old 386 PC. It had a 40 Meg HD and ran on DOS, and I added Windows 3.0 when I saw the interface for the file Manager.

Career 2: Software Developer. Internet apps and Database development. I did a lot of technical writing, too, so managers and execs could have an idea of what I was doing.

Now: Retired, and doing what I like. I take a few gigs, if they are fun, but I have a list of things I want to write and other things I want to transcribe/arrange. Current project: reducing a Mozart Symphony to string quartet + piano.

Finale went out of business, and now I am learning Dorico (my FOURTH notation software - YIKES!).
