I’m Canadian , Proudly born and raised in Nova Scotia.
I speak English only,which I regret. Foolish youth choices.
I have been involved both full time and part time in music in many aspects since I was 12 years old
I did the singer songwriter thing .
I played guitar and sang in many bands, duos ,performed single acts and was a short lived recording artist. from canada . Tape and analog .lol.
I am a published song writer with a major publisher, and I worked hard at my music in the late seventies and early 80s touring. .
I went part time in the mid 80s and remained part time all my life .
I earned a university education which led to a profession other than music .
I then worked in my chosen profession full time ,but was still involved in may aspects of music part time.
I started my own recording studio in 1996.
I was forced for economic circumstance beyond my control to move west to the west for a better full time job.
I have been working in my home studio sinces 2022.
This included some releases and collaborations.
I have been using various versions of Cubase, Wave lab, Pro Tools, and lots of plugins over the year.
I once went with outboard hardware for awhile .but given the down turn in the record industry and low return on investment, I’m all in the box now.
I built many of my own purposely based recording PCs over the years to adapt to changing technologies , operating platforms and software versions ,mostly Cubase as my main DAW hardware.
I have been using Mac for 20 years now with cubase
I use Cubase 13 pro now, Wave Lab 12 pro and many plugins and virtual instruments ,including :
Steven Slate digital ,Waves, Izotope. toontrack ,native instruments

I retired from my day job. a number of years ago .
28 gigs of RAM , Sonoma, OS and Orion Thunder Bolt 3 ,Studio 24 Synergy Core DAW Interface ,with all the available DSP plug ins plus all the non DSP plugins , Adam near fields. monitors .

I am male,and happily married to the love of my life for 42 years now.
We have two loving grown kids, a boy anda girl as well as two loving male grand chldren .
We also have 3 German shepherds and 2 and cats as family members.
