Hello. Stephen Moore here. I’ve been an “underperformed” composer all my life. In college I was a music copyist for various classical musicians, as well as a 700-page doctoral dissertation on early 14th-century isorythmic motets (computers have really changed the world!) I have been a Sibelius6 user for 10 or so years and am very picky about fine points of music notation, especially when it comes to MY compositions. My old VISTA HP is giving up the ghost, and with it, my Sibelius software. I was looking into upgraded software, to find Sibelius a very different company. Then I got wind of Dorico. I tried Dorico SE for about a week before I switched to the trial version of Dorico 3.5 Pro. To say the least, I am IMPRESSED to the gills!

That said, I am in the process of putting my compositions into publication for others to read and perform. The reactions have been good, except that lately I’ve had to use MuseScore3 which makes me, quite honestly, cringe! I remember some names on the Dorico team from my early cries for help in Sibelius6 (it’s good to see you still changing the music world for the better),

About me? That’s a tough one. I’m nearing seventy. Type1 Diabetic most of my life, and ten years ago diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. This is contextual because I can barely use a mouse anymore. I was happy to see in Dorico that KEY COMMANDS cover most any entry function. I had brain surgery last summer, and spent the next month in recovery composing my second book of piano rags in MuseScore3. In a week, I typed it all into Dorico. Sweet!
