I’m a self-taught composer and vibraphonist. I also occasionally have the audacity to play piano in my ensembles, which range from 5 to 10 players. My background in jazz, but for many years my music has taken on an all-acoustic chamber sound, using 'orchestral instrumentation [clarinets, oboe, strings, French horn, etc.]. I rarely include drums in performance, and only use amplification when necessary in a particular location, preferring the actual analog sound of reed, string, wood, brass, metal.

I’ve written for dance and theater. I have worked as a record producer, and hosted the on-air and online radio program, Beauty and the Beat for 5+ years.
