Took a decade off from music and got involved in a completely different area of the entertainment industry. The pandemic gave me a lot of free time so I built a Eurorack modular studio and ended up recording an album. Now I’m interested in scoring and soundtracks. Found my way to Cubase/Wavelab while trying to get “audiophile” masters done quickly for production music. Stayed for the 64-bit. I have a double major in Math and Compsci and am self-taught in audio engineering having started with a Fostex 1/4" 8-track, then on to Akai MG1214 then to 2" before moving to 32xADAT | Yamaha O2R, then Protools before getting out of the studio owning business. Thanks to the pandemic I’m now on DAW and Eurorack modular. 64-bit double in the box sounds quite pleasing to my ears but I’m not exactly an audiophile. I don’t own a scope.
