  1. New project
  2. Drag & drop any file from library
  3. Drag & copy to overlap first copy
  4. Apply crossfade by pressing “x”
  5. Click on crossfade

Suggest the OP change the Subject to reflect what the issue is.

BTW… no issue here on Win 10.

It works here on macOS 10.13.

Could you try in Cubase Safe Start mode, please?

Just downloaded full 10.0.30 version reinstalled and it works!
