10.0.30: Still losing connection

Hey PG,

Wavelab 10.0.30 is still forgetting my audio-connection everytime I open it and I have to reinstate my settings.
Would you mind fixing this?

Cheers,
Stanley

That should mean your preferences are not writable. Do you have the proper permission if you have another setting than this one?

Can you see this file: \AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\WaveLab Pro 10.0\Presets\Audio Connections.last
with a recent date?

Every things seems to be correct?

Yes this seems correct
When you say Wavelab is forgetting your audio-connection, what do you exactly mean?
And what are your audio connections that are lost? And by what are they replaced?

Can this be a security settings in Windows 10?

Well, its the playback settings that are not being routed correctly.
I have to recall the preset - the it works.

That means the saved preset working correctly but is not being saved as default setting by Wavelab.

WL_AC_Play.png this is what you see when it works, or when it does not work? In the later case, what do you see in the dialog?

WL_AC_Play.png this is what you see when it works, or when it does not work?

This is what I see when it doesn`t work.
Could this be some kind of folder permission…never had that with WL before.

This is what I see when it doesn`t work.

Then what do you see when you make it work?

I go to Preferences/Audio-Connections and chose the the same preset again.

Then its working.I dont even have to press ‘refresh’.

I need to see the playback connection tab, when it’s working. Not the record tab. Thanks.

Ok. To make a long story short, if I understand correctly:
you want MADI 53/54 but WaveLab instead reverts to MADI 1/2 at each launch?

I could reproduce your case, and I have a solution for you:

You only specify one device port in the record tab. WaveLab considers this is a mistake, hence resets the whole connection to some default.
To solve the problem, just add a second port to your record tab.

yep, that solved it.
