That’s Windows? Is there a Privacy setting for the filesystem?
I use that setting with a main project directory that has a sub-directory for each project, and it works. When you add the location in Hub Settings, it will (should) instantly update the Hub window.
Windows on ARM, specifically, I won’t be able to try it out on my desktop until the end of the year. I can check if there are permissions but generally Windows doesn’t really have them.
Edit: yeah everything is set to full control for all users
Edit2: It seems to work occasionally? I loaded up cubase 15 just now and the list was populated. Quit and restarted and it was empty once again. Tried a few times and it stayed empty. Restarted the pc and it populated the list. Quit then reloaded and its empty once again
I hit this and resolved while chasing other issues but can’t remember the steps,
It definitely appears related to the scanning of the manually added directories/folders to the hub list in the hub settings, then the sequence of events relating to the timing of the auto scanning of those directories.
As I was also deleting all my Cubase 15 preferences files to trace a differing issue there is presumably one or more of those which may relate to the hub settings but I don’t know which preference file the Hub stores its setting in. (default.xml possibly). So deleting the preference files (all in my case) did initiate a rescan but of course with none of the manually added directories given they are in the preference file.
But it seems to indicate rescan at boot at least, how often after that is unknown.
Hope these observations are of assistance to any bug trackers.
I rebooted my Mac, my projects in the hub populated again. I just clicked the hub-settings to rearrange Templates and Recent and my projects list in the hub is empty again. Strange.
same here on my Windows 11 system (24H2). No projects from custom location drive C: are displayed. Regardless of the storage location. That is, within the user area or outside the user area. Also starting with Admin Rights doesn’t change anything. The new hub does not like my drive C:. But it displays projects from drive E: perfectly…
