how can I deal with this? The extenders for the second verse should probably not be in the 1st time bar. Same thing happens with hyphens.

At the moment, Dorico doesn’t pay any attention to the presence of repeat barlines or repeat endings when it comes to the notation of any other item, whether that is lyrics, ties, slurs, glissando lines, dynamics, or indeed anything. So some manual adjustment will be required until such time as Dorico handles this automatically.
