Installed Software (Windows 11 Pro) VST Live 2.0.30 and VST Viewer 1.0.63.
When you use the “Save Archive” Function non of the PDF-Files that are used in a global VST-Viewer Window are included with the exported files.
That means the VST project will not work the same way on the remote/target Computer (rehearsal/show) as on the Build-Computer.
… sorry I forget to mention that. You need to select all songs before you are doing the archive process. This is a “new feature” and “old” projects do need that little help. New projects will be fine.
I did further “research” because the old project won’t work that way.
So I did a test creating a new project using my saved Songs.
Create a new project in 2.0.30
Imported with “load song” the previous saved songs into the setlist.
Then I created a global Part and checked the PDF-Files that are already were included in the “old” project and saved with the songs (Song - Save Song) and they all worked perfect.
Then I saved the project under a new name (File - Save as)
Finaly, I created a new Archive “File - Save Archive” in an empty Folder
Boom there they are - a new Folder appears “plugassets” with an subfolder that contains the PDF Files.
So, with a new project it works but not with (my) old project but I would really prefer that it would work with an old project because there are so many settings that I don´t remember and I don´t want to figure out during rehearsals.
Just a thought. Maybe the PDF export doesn’t work with my project because it contains multiple setlists and you can only select the songs in the active setlist before saving the archive, and the unselected songs prevent the export. With one (new) Setlist everything is finde. I don’t know.
But I’ve reached the end of my testing. If it doesn’t work, then it doesn’t work. What a pity!
… Question : Have you selected the active songs in your project? You have to do it only once before you are doing an archive. That should work, right? After that selection process, save the project again and you don’t need to select all songs again.
… yes, if you have inactive songs in your SETLIST, and they are not selected once, their PDF file will not be exported.
You have to understand that the VST Viewer is a black box for VST Live. The Export of Multi-Files is new for VST Viewer and VST Live. And the VST Viewer need to tell the host that it has a file for a song. Then VST Live can save the file in an archive.
I opend my original (2.0.27) project and clicked/selected every single Song in the active setlist to check if the right pdf is shown in the VST Viewer Window. All good so far!
Then I saved the entire project “File / Save”
Then I saved an archive “File / Save Archive”
No PDF export (here)

I could test 2.0.30 yesterday in an Live-Setup and now (with a newly on 2.0.30 build new project) all my Songs that I build in earlier versions work with the VST Viewer 1.0.63 version and export the used PDF-Files and they are also working on the remote/target Laptop we use for the Live-Music Setup!
Thanks again for the great Support.
P.S: The Lyrics are working with 2.0.30 also great with LiveMods!
