[2.1.0.178) Abdolutely no sound with the trial version

I installed the trial version of the VST Live 2 and I cannot get sound out of it.
The machine is a Surface Pro 6 running Windows 11
The audio card is an M-Audio Air Hub.
With Cubase there aren’t any problems.
The connections seem to be ok:

The audio driver is selected:

and the connections look fine from the program itself:

With the General Low Latency Driver and the built-in Realtek soundcard the audio is ok.
However no sound with the M-Audio neither by pressing keys on the keyboard nor by clicking on the GUI keyboard.
The downloaded demo project refuses to start.

Could anyone help?

Hi! Is your MAIN is selected in your mixer channel too?

yes, but the trick is simpler than that as I figured out meanwhile.
After loading the project, I need to hit the ‘Reset Audio Devices’ menu item. An ugly rendition of all the previously played notes and the software works as it should. Until the next restart, when after loading the project, the reset is necessary again.
It is a bug, right? (Cubase works perfectly, so does Akai VIP)

We’ll check and report back.

Hi @leroi1973,

argh. We have organized a “M-Audio M-Track Hub” …

… and it is working fine with VST Live. Now I have realized that you do have another device? We have this one here. And you? Can you point me to a website to get more details?

And I guess are you are running the latest driver of the device?

Thank you
Michael.

Hello Michael
Yes, it is the same audio device. ‘M-Audio Air Hub’ is the full name.
I am using it at 48 kHz with the latest driver on a Microsoft Surface Pro 6 with the newest Windows 11. Multi-threading has been disabled.
I tried a reinstall of the VST Live 2, the problem persists.
Cubase Artist 13.0.40, Akai VIP 3.1 and the latest Cantabile work fine on the same machine.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @leroi1973,

let’s collect the facts for the moment, because I am a little bit confused. We have this audio-interface here. Please visit the site. And this device runs with a “M-Audio M-Track Hub ASIO” driver.
And you have a different device, correct? Can you point me to a website to find out more about this device?

Thank you,
Michael.

Hello Michael
What your link shows is not what I have.
I have this.
It is the ‘M-Audio Air Hub’. In your first post you included its link.
This is the control software for it:
M-Audio Air Hub Control Software
So, again to make it clear, the 2 models:
M-Audio M-Track Hub (silver colour) - this is what you have
M-Audio air Hub (black) - this what I have and experience problems with it.
And I use the driver downloaded from here:

I hope this is helpful.
Thank you.
