[2.1.27] Some plugin is crashing and causing VST Live to not open

Due to some hardware change on my PC, am still working with some plugins vendors to restore my licensees via iLok.
I think this project am opening could have one such plugin, so looks like its crashing. It opened and loaded almost 90% and then killed itself.
If plugin crash is causing it, please make sure a plugin crash won’t stop the project from opening.

Am attaching the crash dump here
VST Live Version 2.1.27 2024.12.14 15.14.33.679.dmp (1.4 MB)

When VST Live starts, it scans for new plugins or new versions of plugins. It then opens the plugin to see if it works, otherwise (also if VST Live crashes when attempting to open the plugin), it is being banned.

Once a plugin is “accepted”, it is integral part of the application. This is done by the Operating System, it treats the plugin (dll, Dynamic Linked Library) just like any other part of the application. Thus, if a plugin has opened successfully but later crashes, the hosting app crashes, and there is nothing we can do about that, no matter how much we would like to, sorry.

From the error dump attached, is it possible to see which app is crashing? If so, let me know.
I activated majority of the plugins on the new hard drive, so wanted to know which plugins is now crashing so I can look into it.

… thank you for your report …

… the “Auto-Tune Artist.vst3” plug-in is crashing VST Live.

See you,
Michael.

Am able to open “Auto-Tune Artist” plugin in a new VST Live project

But am still not able to open an old VST Live project. The updated dump file is attached here, can you make sure its still “Auto-Tune Artist” causing the old VST Live project to partially open and then auto kill itself? I even tried re-installing the “Auto-Tune Artist”

VST Live Version 2.1.27 2024.12.15 15.31.5.989.dmp (1.4 MB)

Am not able to upload the vst live project file because it more than 4mb, even compression is not reducing its size.

… send it to “m.spork@steinberg.de

/Michael.

… we’ll check. Thank you,
Michael.

Email sent with the attached file.

… again, “Auto-Tune Artist.vst3”. I’ll check if I can get a license of the Plug-In. Do you need your project running? I could remove the Auto-Tune Artist Plug-References inside the project, save it and give it back to you.

/Michael.

Its not urgent. But as you seen in my previous screen shot, am able to open Auto-Tune Artist.vst3 in VST Live. I have attached the project which has this plugin on the Stack. This one is opening, but the one i attached previously not opening.
