2 Questions about controlling/ read writing CCs

Two CC questions

1] Currently, if I rewrite some CC data, in the Key Editor, I get two lines of data instead of a fresh rewrite -where is the setting for this please?

2] If I write say, some mod data, into the key editor, if I then go to the track in the project window, open the automation, scroll down to more/MIDI channel/All CC and select Modulation, I would expect to see the changes in the key editor here. Instead I see no data. Why is this?

You have to delete the origin data first. It cannot be overwritten.

Unfortunately you can’t see the MIDI CC data in the automation track. You can see it the other way around (the automation data in the Controller Lane) only.
