[3.0.14] Song Loop Not Working: Playback Jumps to Next Song Instead of Repeating

Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue with VST Live Pro 3.0.14 related to the Song loop function.

In the songs where I have enabled looping (including infinite loop), when the last event reaches the end, the Song does not restart from the beginning. Instead, it automatically jumps to the next Song in the Setlist.
It looks like the loop setting is being ignored.

I have checked the following:

  • Song settings → Loop enabled

  • Event markers and durations are correct

  • No MIDI commands or macros forcing a Song change

The issue is reproducible every time.

Could you please check this behavior or let me know if there is an additional setting required to make the loop work correctly?

The project was already working. In Song Action, “Start Next Song” is set when reaching “End of Last Event”. When the loop is active, the song should repeat according to the specified loop value.

Dont agree, but let’s step forward. I suggest use an EndMarker now and put the EndMarker just a second after your last event.

So I would need to modify all the songs in the projects?

Just simply tick “apply to all” and click OK/Apply to close dialog

I think I didn’t understand. If I modify the End Marker in one song, I don’t have the option to apply it to all songs. What are you referring to?

Oh yes, I see. Or course EndMarker should one set for each song if not jet set. The apply to all the song end action

Could you please check on your side whether the same issue occurs in your project as well? It would be helpful to know if the behavior is reproducible on different setups.

Hi @Gianluca_D ! Tried for me own and same happens, seems “Song Action” has higher priority than flex loop.
But in such cases (when looped part just ends as also the last event) there are at least two good options:

  • Using EndMarker or
  • Using “(last-event-)End +1 second” (That might help you now if you would need to set EndMarkers for lot’s of songs)

I’m glad to hear that you’ve encountered the same issue as well. This means it will most likely be addressed in the next version.
Applying changes in “Song Action” to all songs is not feasible in a project with varied settings.

Let’s wait for the developers to step in.
