As the title says, I have few songs that have inserts plugins active in some tracks (backing tracks and also some monitored rec armed tracks). When activating the song loud noises come from the channels with active inserts (tested with a steinberg maximizer at 100% optimize on a backing track, on old project)
Don’t know if also V2.2.87 have the same problem, but I have a big gig in new year eve, hope it can be solved so I will use V3 and record also a couple of live camera (together with multitrack audio… wow!! If the pc can handle all togheter) of the gig, then give devs all the recorded project as test project
Can you try to see if the vjprj is enought ? you can try to put it with the complete project i sent to musicullum a few ago. Otherwise i’ll archive and send you one with a couple of songs.
Here you can switch between song 3 and 4 , both have the track CUE with a maximizer, and goes to CLICK global group, in main mixer you can see when switching a spike on CLICK group at change. This won’t happen if you turn off the maximizer on cue track.
@Spork another issue only in V3, on the same project above, if you were able to put the vlprj in the assets folder i sent months ago to musicullum:
Song switch times are very long if new Monitor mixer tab is in view, normal if another tab is in view (also if you detach monitor mixer and have it in secondary window, extremely long song switch time).
during this long switching time the noises described above for tracks with inserts are very long and loud and can be heard distinctively.
Do you want me to open another thread for the long song switch times with monitor mixer in sight or it’s ok here?
Hi @Spork , do you have any feedback on this issue (noises at song switch and long loading at song switch only if monitor mixer is visualized).
yesterday had rehearsals with the band on V3.0.3 and at the moment this is serious obstacle to use V3 on prime time.
Also video recording have wrong framerate. And last but not least, would it be possible to have video virtual cables? I want to condense many tracks )logo fades in out, different videos for medleys etc) routed to video1 to a single track to avoid multiple video threads (multithread disabled so decoding stutters, avoidable by having only 1 video file playing)
Thank you for your feedback on these points. Regards, Ciro!
Hi Felician, I have 80 songs with multiple video tracks routed to video1 with fade in-fade outs, transparent zones etc. Tried With video director but it is not possible to replicate transparency - fades.
Then found a partial solution using OBS: selected video input to obs as window and selected video1 mon. Then routed OBS virtual camera to a video track in VST and recorded. It worked but with video quality degradation and frame rate/offsync problems (bug in VST live video rec). Will try by recording a file in OBS instead of rerouting video to VST but then I’ll need to import and resync all songs.
well in the end I suppose for now I will accept some stuttering without video multithread and leave it as it is.
I agree with you, polishing and solving all old and new introduced bug in new v3 release have priority at the moment!
EDIT: Also simply having video1 to video6 monitor available as virtual video inputs should be already enought
