If I solo an e.g. audio track, automation tracks gets disabled too, but it still shows the “R” green, that it is active.
In my opinion solo should not affect an automation track. In my case I mute/unmute the metronome with the automation track and I still need/need not the metronome with the soloed track.
Update: The issue occurs, cause I have routed the metronome to an out channel and set up the automation track to mute/unmute this output channel (metronome could not be turned on/off with automation). But the behavior is strange. At 1.1.1 I unmute the channel and I can here the metronome with and without another audio track soloed. at 20.1.1 the automation track mutes the metro-channel. This works fine if nothing is soloed. But if I solo, I can still here the metronome and the metronome out channel is not muted.
For me there is strong logic - if you solo one track, all others are muted (except Out channels). Automation track don’t have Solo/Mute buttons ([FR?] I think many will appreciate such an addition). Out channels don’t mute if you solo something - this is the fact. Maybe the “bug” is that the Out channel that isn’t in the route of soloed Audio track, isn’t muted? Probably. Anyway you cannot expect that automation track that isn’t anyhow linked to soloed Audio track also is soloed and doing its job.
Why do you use Out channel for such task? Use Group channel and it will be muted normally if something is soloed. But if you solo both, then automation anyway isn’t unmuted and then we need Solo/Mute buttons on it.
EDIT. If you put Automation track into Folder, you can solo/mute it and it will affect Automation track’s “invisible Solo/Mute” buttons
