32bit 96khz audio file played distorted in WL 11.2

I recorded an audio at 32bit/96khz but it is played in WL11.2 very distorted. In the file characteristics bar it reports that the file is 24 bit. So I change the file characteristic to 32 bit but nothing changes. Can someone help me solve this problem?

Does the waveform seems corrupted? If not, this must be an audio driver issue. First thing to try is to increase the asio block size to at least 512 samples.

The asio block is already at 512 samples.
I think the problem is with WL, in fact the same file is played regularly via the Nero editor

What audio card are you using?
Playing a 32bit 96khz audio file is very common for WaveLab.

Hi!
I did a test with 96 kHz stereo file 32 bit and 32 bit float
with Builtin Audio Device in MacBook Air M1
no problem to playback files and no distortion …

Then I think my pc is not fully compatible with WL 11.2
It’s an Asus with AMD Ryzen 7 cpu with AMD High resolution audio device; O.S. Windows 10 Home
In fact, another desktop of mine with an Intel i5 CPU plays the same file smoothly without any distortion.

Can you try changing driver to Steinberg asio or asio4all?

I increased the ASIO buffer size to 640 and now it plays audio properly.
Thanks!
