Will we see it this year guys? Any news? 1 update in 5 months (or even more) is pretty slow.
Cubase 9 should be early Dec, if the last 3 versions are anything to go by

I’d be surprised if there’s an update before version 9. I should imagine we’ll be seeing the ‘It’s Coming’ teaser soon.
If it doesn’t come out in the next two weeks they’ll probably hold it until after Cubase Pro 9 comes out, then release version 8.5.40 in early 2017 with the new video engine.
Cubase 8.5.30 is 60 days late according to Steinberg’s previous update schedules… The question is when will it be released and will they fix all those issues before releasing Cubase 9? Will it be compatible with mac OS Sierra? 
A reply from Steinberg would be good, updating us with the latest news on releases.
