Hello everyone,
I would like to know why does the “8va” symbol above a single note, appear sometimes as “8va” and others as “8”. Maybe it has to do with the note spacing?
I would like all the signs to appear as “8va” but without doing workarounds… It is possible? Am I missing something?

I suspect you’re “right on” about the difference in note spacing. Try messing with it in Engrave Mode to easily confirm.
If so, then you can decide if you’re okay with that (very reasonable) abbreviation behavior or if you want to change measure spacing/casting off just to get the va back. (Another option might be to ask a musical question: would an eighth note followed by a sixteenth rest both give you the sound you want and get the full 8va symbol back?)
