A feature within Auto-Split no longer works in WaveLab 13

Hello,

In WaveLab Pro 13.0.30, I’m having a problem with an Auto-Split feature that worked perfectly up through version 12:

The purpose of this feature is to automatically lower the level to absolute silence during audio pauses.
I used the following settings:

  • Files to Process: Audio File in Active Window
  • How to split: Split at silences
  • Silence Definition:
    • A Region Has a Duration of at Least: 0h 0mn 0s 300ms
    • Minimum Silence between Regions: 300ms
    • Silence is Defined as a Signal Below (RMS): -60dB
    • Audio Region to Retain: Exclude Silence Parts
  • What to Do with Regions: Mute Audio Outside Regions (Process in Place) - True Silence

Why doesn’t it work in version 13 anymore?

I can confirm following above steps, the feature is not working in WL13.

Thanks you for the report This is a bug I can confirm.
The only workaround is to select the Marker creation option. Then, for each region, double-click between the markers and press Backspace.

Hi PG,
thank you for your quick response.
There are to many regions to do it manually. But I switch for this feature to the version 12 and wait for the next update / bugfix.
Best regards, Andreas
