I’m an owner of Cubase pro 9.5 and I was wondering if there is a lighter more stripped down version of Cubase for all those times I need that extra CPU power for production ?
I’m aware of the product range and different versions but I’m not sure which one will meet those specifications.
All Cubase “tiers” perform pretty much the same, and the current versions also perform the best overall.
If you need some extra CPU, I would recommend setting ASIO Guard to High and/or increasing you audio interface’s buffer size while mixing. Depending on the plugins used, enabling the new 64 bit Processing Precision mode can also improve performance.
Cubase is currently in a transitional phase, so there could be a few more performance improvements in the future.
