Can you send me your custom playback template? I want to see if I can reproduce this here on my machine as well. If so, then this could help us immensely in cracking a long standing bug that we never could get grip on.
Things are getting complicated here. Now all Noteperformer windows are gone!
I reinstalled Dorico and reinstalled NP - no luck. I can see the blank NP windows when I “alt- tab”, but they don’t open. They do play, but have no GUI.
They open in Dorico 4!
What can I do ?
If this is a bug in Dorico 5.1.70, where do I find the previous 5.1.60 ?
HELP! - Please…
There’s been no change in the audio engine between Dorico 5.1.60 and Dorico 5.1.70, so whatever is going on now won’t be directly related to the latest Dorico update.
You could try toggling the setting (in the Advanced Options section of the Play page of Preferences) concerning hi-DPI plug-in windows, then restart Dorico, to see if that makes any difference, but I would be surprised.
Hi,
Could it be that the windows just went off screen. When you hover with the mouse over the Dorico icon in the taskbar a preview of all Dorico windows should appear. If the NP windows do appear, click on it and then use the cursor keys to bring them back on screen
Daniel, you are a genius! - it works!
NP’s GUI’s are back when I disable hi-DPI.
But they disappear again when I enable hi- DPI.
It’s strange, because I have always worked with Hi-DPI without problems.
Any idea why this happens ? - nothing else has changed here.
No, I’m afraid I don’t know why this might have changed on your system. You might check whether there are any updates to your graphics card drivers available, and if so, install them.
Ulf was right!
The windows had indeed wandered off the screens (I use 3 monitors)
I pressed shift, rightclicked them and moved them back. Now they appear in Hi-DPI.
All is well! - Thank’s for all your help
