I know this has been mentioned on the forum a couple times, but it would be extremely helpful for Dorico to include a toggle - perhaps in engraving options - which would switch its interpretation of “a tempo” between immediate and gradual tempo text.
I know Gould recommends all tempo related text to be bold, and this is what I personally prefer for my own music, but I often have to engrave works that must adhere to the Schirmer Manual of Style, which calls for gradual tempo/tempo alterations to be set in italics. I know there are a few ways to work around this, but an elegant project-based toggle would save so much time!
