Hi. I bought the UR44C and having trouble with cubasis Le. Do I need to buy the $29 Cubasis software to record through dspmix fx app? It keeps prompting me to buy the full version…

Hi @LavishRouzy

Thanks for your message.

You can use the UR44C to unlock Cubasis LE for iOS from demo mode, via these steps:

  • Launch Cubasis LE on your iOS device.
  • Connect the UR44C to your iOS device.

After a short moment you should see a popup message that Cubasis LE for iOS has been unlocked.

Here you can see the features of Cubasis LE and Cubasis.

Once Cubasis LE for iOS has been unlocked, you have the option to grab the “Full Feature Set” in-app purchase, which updates Cubasis LE for iOS with all features of Cubasis (at a lower price).

The dspMixFX app can be used independently from Cubasis. Please find out more about the dspMixFX app at: dspMixFx UR-C | Steinberg

Hope that helps!

Best,
Lars

Here the file sounds clean, but after direct sampling

it sounds poor quality.
I checked it a hundred times

there are no effects. By the way, the third track is my sampling set, which sounds good here. Only after loading into the minisampler some noise appears.

As far as I know MiniSampler always converts all imported/recorded audio to 44.1K 16-bit and there’s no way around this.

Even when the projects bit-depth is set to 24-bit and sample-rate to 48k MiniSampler insists on using 16-bit 44k. I have not checked how it behaves if I feed it with 96k 32-bit float files, but I would not be surprised if it ‘freaks out’.

Please tell me if there is an internal recording option in the app? Like, I press “record” and it records the internal sound directly from the app, not from the microphone. It creates a separate track with this recording.

Unfortunately the only way to do that now is to freeze the track in the arranger, save the resulting audio to the media bay, create a MiniSampler instrument and import the sample from the Media Bay.

It might be a good idea to create a separate topic for this…
…maybe someday we’ll get the Cubase Sampler Track ported over to Cubasis making sampling more fun using Cubasis…

Hi @mark.palmos

Cubasis for iOS is distributed through the Apple App Store, Cubasis for Android/Chrome OS is distributed through the Google Play Store. The two stores don’t interrelate and don’t offer any crossgrade options, which means that to own any app on both iOS and Android/Chrome OS, it must be purchased on both stores, unfortunately.

Best,
Lars

Is it possible to link keyboards? When I play music with my fingers on the keyboard of one track, I want the keyboard of the other track to play the same notes.

Hi @amirkochetov

Please see the example video below, which includes the steps to layer tracks in Cubasis.

Hope that helps!

P.S.: For future topics, please create a new post! TIA!

Best,
Lars
