I am always behind on something. I feel like I just upgraded to v6. No one is talking about it on the forums. Did anyone upgrade from 6 to 7 and feels like it was worth the upgrade?

I’m downloading the new content right now.
It contains Groove Agent 6 (which has a standalone update price of €59,99) as well as a lot of updated content. So updating for €99,99 is perfectly fine for me.
I love to have absolute 7, but the upgrade price is insane if you already own Halion 7, Groove agent 5, backbone, padshop, retrologue. Still Steinberg did nog fixed this. Really dissapointing as a longtime supporter of steinberg products
Same here, I own all the latest versions of these VSTis and also a few additional libraries. Still, Steinberg is asking for 400 € for a crossgrade. Thus, I am not even remotly tempted by this offer
But others still might be? I can only speak for myself.
I keep thinking about it too. Groove Agent 6 is fine, but I don’t need another 5 types of piano… and I have Halion 7, so what’s actually new for €100?
I am thinking the same thing. Just get the GA upgrade. I would not really use any of the other libraries.
I am also wondering what the main differences between GA6 and GA SE6 are. Besides the multis, I am not really seeing much.
In version 5 it was basically the ability to load four agents instead of just one, have patterns on all eight banks and additional drum kit content.
Oh, and the ability to get GA without buying Cubendo.
So, it turns out, I do like and use some of these new Absolute 7 libraries ![]()
Carrier8 is fun and took me a little bit to figure out the name. I grew up in the 80s, but I can only identify some of the influenced patches. If someone has some ideas, that would be interesting.
The punchy punch stuff is nice. Punch this, punch that. Mike Tyson would approve
So, yeah, I upgraded.
