Accent technique not working as text

Hi,

I’m having a problem with custom playing techniques. I created a playing technique ‘accent’ (or ‘>’), based on the playback technique ‘Accent’.

I expected it to behave as the standard accent glyph, but it doesn’t change the velocity value of the note it is applied to. The same happens if I use ‘Marcato’ instead.

What could have I done wrong?

Dorico will only apply the velocity delta for a real accent articulation, rather than for any playing technique that uses the pt.accent playback technique, I’m afraid.
