Hello, I’m quite new to recording MIDI with Cubase and have obviously learned about latency after timing issues.
I’m currently, by running a different driver, at 14ms and was wondering if there is normally some latency?
My only other option for improvement would be a new soundcard, I think.

14ms is on the very outer limit of acceptable…
You should be looking for sub 10ms.
Thats the sum of input and output latency added.

If you are recording audio, turn direct monitoring on to achieve the lowest latency your card can provide.
