Access Virus TI2 Desktop no longer connects in Cubase LE AI Elements 13

Hello

Solved : after reading (a lot of ) other posts, I found the proposal to re-install the Virus SW Suite (why should that become necessary ?) - and that worked!! :smiley:

I’m desperate - after using my Virus TI2 for years, it’s all of a sudden gone :frowning:
I updated recently Cubase Elements to 13.0.50 (currently unable to install 13.0.51 !?) and Windows 11 to 24h2. I don’t exactly know the point in time, where the Virus ‘vanished’ as I worked recently more with my new VST collection, but I can’t think of any other changes I made.
Access documentation is somehow outdated … so it’s not easy to find the steps that need to be verified. (I’m currently following th "Virus TI Setup Guide - A basic guide on how to connect your Virus TI with a software sequencer. Includes
loads of additional background information and troubleshooting tips.

Additional 'findings'

  • in the VST PlugIn-Manager, there is one instance of VST2.4 - but none for VST3.5 ? (there is also no such 2nd Virus TI folder, when I want to select an instrument - see pic 2 above …)

  • when I change the ASIO driver in Studio > Audiosystems to VIRUS , sounds of other VSTs are heared on the Virus headphone exit. (connection is physically there!)

  • Virus Control Center outside Cubase is talking to my Virus Device.

Any help out there or similar experience ?

I have the same problem with my Access Polar. It stoped working after Windows 11 24h2 update. I run out of ideas to solve this. I used the virus for over 10 years as my main synthesizer. What can we do?

Like I wrote above…
I had to reinstall the virus SW (looks ti me like windows installed a newer driver that won’t work). But after the reinstall, everything works back normally.

Reinstalling did not solve it for me :unamused:.

Does your Virus Control Center connect to your Synth when you’re outside your DAW or neither ?

Yes, it connects alright. No problem with that. I transferred my sound patches to the Virus so i can use the sounds thru midi and audio thru the DAW.
