I accidentally plugged my bass guitar in the mic/line 1 input of my UR22C (obviously there was no output) and i was wondering if i could somehow have damaged the device. I know it’s quite a weird question but i’m still a newbie with recording interfaces (this is the first i’ve ever had)
If you plug it in the input there should be “input”
no damage possible if you plug a bass into the line input…
The instruments input has a switchable higher impedance that makes it easier for the bass to produce enough level and sounds more brilliant in most cases but it should work in the line input as well…

Yes, I know that the instrument input (the second one, which is the correct one for guitars and basses) has the Hi-Z button, but i thought that it would’ve worked for both inputs so i first used the first one.
What i really meant by ‘‘there was no output’’ is that, having plugged the bass in the first input (which is meant for microphone and digital instruments), it produced no sound.
I am wondering if plugging an instrument like a guitar or a bass in that specific input could somehow cause damage to that input or if it has some kind of protection for distracted people like me
