Among the numerous notation options for accidentals I can’t find one to insert cautionary accidentals before notes tied over from a previous system. This is very commonly done — am I missing something, or hasn’t it been implemented yet?
This has indeed not yet been implemented. It’s complicated because all accidental calculation is carried out before the score has been spaced and cast off, so we need to add some additional processing once the score layout has been determined to get it to put in these accidentals. It’s definitely on the list for future implementation.

Nice to hear that this will be implemented. I think it is important that a page should be readable out of itself.
